2015 Festivals & Events You Don’t Want To Miss in Belfast

Belfast is well known for its vibrant festival season with plenty of food and music to offer to visitors that plan their trips right. In addition, Belfast is host to many different events that help accent the unique culture and regional food of the area. Rose Week

Rose Week takes place on July 14th through July 19th at the International Rose Garden at Sir Thomas and LadyDixonPark and includes a large variety of different events with entertainment for all age groups and plenty of music. Of special note are the 45,000 blooming roses in the garden.

Spring Fair

The Spring Fair celebrates spring with an environmental backbone and features plenty of entertainment, green activities, flowers, and animals. It takes place at the Barnett Demesne on April 18th and April 19th.

The Colour Run 2015

Last year over 6,000 people ran through the Titanic Quarter in full colour and this year many more are likely to come back to the crazy 5k that has spawned similar runs in over 50 countries. This year the Colour run takes place on August 20th and will feature plenty of great DJs and colour at the finish line.

Belfast Mela

Many world cultures blend together and stand out individually at the multicultural festival known as the Belfast Mela. The Mela takes place at the Botanic Gardens on August 30th and features international and local talent.

Festival of Fools

The Festival of Fools takes place over the May Day Holiday and features plenty of humour, acrobatics, magic shows, and even some dare devil acts. The street festival is from May 1st to May 4th on the streets of the Cathedral Quarter and Belfast City Centre and features something for everyone.

The Belfast Tattoo 2015

The Belfast Tattoo is back again the weekend of September 4th and September 5th and features more than 600 performers including dancers, bands, and musicians leading up to the Grand Finale of the Massed Pipe and Drums.

Sunflowerfest

Sunflowerfest takes place July 31st through August 2nd and features a wide array of entertainment, arts, and music with a focus on enriching and nourishing mind and body. Storytelling, interactive art, music, dance, and poetry are just a few highlights.
